The DAET project began in 1999 after Nick and Joy Paday returned from a
trip to the Philippines. DAET is one of the three poorest cities in
the Philippines. The poverty level effects everything, especially housing
and education. Dollars for DAET is dedicated to making a difference
in the lives of people from all generations.

To date, D4D has assisted with medical outreach, developed a fireman program where firemen are trained and certified as official First Responders and much needed emergency equipment is donated. D4D distributed rice to impoverished villages comprised primarily of widows and orphans, set-up a morning feeding program, distributed thousands of eyeglasses to people with poor vision, set up a clothing room for needy families to shop, established a college scholarship program, adopted elementary and high schools where school supplies are distributed, supplied sound systems for pre-schools, ceiling fans for elementary schools, underwritten the building expenses for a new high school faculty room/student library, and conducted several Kids Interactive Outreach sessions for the children of DAET.

Dollars for DAET is committed to taking outreach teams to the Philippines
every two years.
