LIFE IN DAET

Normal housing in the provinces consist of a bamboo house, the size of a small bedroom and a Nipa leaf roof. An average size family has 10 children, two parents and a grandparent all living in this one-room house.

Life in DAET

In 2004, the mayor of DAET asked Dollars for DAET to help him eliminate the Nipa houses. Our goal is to build a housing community composed of two-story structures that will house 6–8 families. In order to achieve this goal, we will need financial sponsors to help underwrite the building costs.

Playgrounds in DAET are very few.
